Creamy Potato Stew





  • 1.5 cups of cranberries bean


  • 1 cup of water


  • 1 pinch of salt


  • 1 big size potato, chopped to small cubes


  • 1 small carrot, cut to medium size chunk


  • 1 cube of butter


  • 1 cup of evaporated milk


  • 2 teaspoon of mixed herbs


  • 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese (shaved with peeler)


  • 1.5 cups of chopped scallion


  • 1 pinch of pepper





  1. Boil the beans and potato, with salt and water.


  2. Add in butter once the water boil and stir till butter melts evenly.


  3. Lower the fire. Add in mixed herbs and carrot once the water almost finish evaporating.


  4. Add in evaporated milk, scallion and parmesan cheese.


  5. Dish and serve. Sprinkle some pepper on the top before serving.

DOM Chicken





Forgot to turn on the flash, so looks kinda dark.




  • Half a kampung (village) chicken, those without fats and rear at the back of the house, chopped to medium size pieces

  • 3 tablespoon of Benedict DOM - for marinade

  • 1 pinch of salt - for marinade

  • 1 pinch of pepper - for marinade

  • 1/2 bombay onion, cut ring

  • 1 tablespoon of oil

  • 2 clove of garlic, cut slice

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce



  1. Marinade chicken with the marinade ingredients for at least few hours.

  2. Saute onion with oil till fragrant. Add in garlic.

  3. Once the garlic frangrant, add in chicken, water and soy sauce.

  4. Cook the chicken with low fire till the water dries up.

Spicy Taufu





  • 1 box of soft taufu

  • 2 clove of garlic, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon of oil

  • 2 tablespoon of chilli paste

  • 1 teaspoon of fish sauce

  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 tablespoon of curry powder

  • 1/4 cup of cornstarch water solution (2 teaspoon of cornstarch with water)

  • 1/4 cup of water



  1. Saute garlic with oil till golden. Add in chilli paste.

  2. Add in taufu and water.

  3. Once the water boil, add in the rest of the other ingredients except for cornstarch water solution.

  4. Once the mixture boil, add in cornstarch solution to thicken the sauce.

  • 1 cup of basmati rice

  • 1.5 cups of water

  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1/2 cup of chopped scallion

  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped carrot



  1. Wash the basmati rice and steam it with 1.5 cups of water, olive oil and salt.

  2. Once the rice is cooked, add in the scallion and carrot.

  3. Stir all the items well and leave it to steam for 5mins.

Taufu Stuff









  • 2 small size tomato, cut to half and removed the middle part

  • 3 fresh mushroom, removed the stem and chopped the stem

  • 1 teaspoon of corn starch - A

  • 2 tablespoon of soft taufu - A

  • 1 pinch of salt - A

  • 1 pinch of pepper - A

  • 2 tablespoon of fish paste - A

  • 2 tablespoon of pork (chopped) - A

  • 2 tablespoon of cranberry beans - A

  • 1 egg – A



  1. Mixed all A ingredients and the chopped mushroom stem. Blend them in blender.

  2. Stuffed the ingredients in the tomato and middle part of the mushrooms.

  3. Grilled in oven over 190 degree celcius for 15 mins.

Colorful Porridge





  • One small handful of rice

  • 4 cups of water

  • 1 cups of anchovies stock

  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce

  • 1 egg

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 pinch of pepper

  • 1 bunch of pak choy

  • 2 cloves of chopped garlic

  • 1 chopped shallot

  • 1 teaspoon of oil

  • 1 tablespoon of preserved radish

  • 2 crabstick, cut to four

  • 2 sausage, cut to half

  • 2 dried mussels

  • 2 pcs of dried scallop

  • 2 dried chinese mushroom, sliced

  • 2 slice of ginger, chopped finely

  • 1 handful of wolfberries



  1. Boil the rice with water, achovies stock, dried scallop, wolfberries and dried mussels.

  2. After about 20mins, add in crabstick, sausage and mushroom. Boil for another 20mins

  3. Saute shallot with the oil till golden and set aside.

  4. Saute garlic and preserved raddish with the balance oil. Add in pak choy once the garlic is golden. Set aside.

  5. Hit the egg on a bowl. Add salt, pepper and soy sauce.

  6. Pour the boiling porridge on the egg. Served the fried pak choy and shallot on the porridge.

Coffee Bake Chicken with Fried French Beans





  • 1 chicken thigh (chopped to medium size cube)

  • 1 teaspoon of kicap manis (sweet black sauce) - for marinade

  • A small pinch of salt - for marinade

  • Pepper to taste - for marinade

  • 2 teaspoon of sesame oil - for marinade

  • 1 teaspoon of promfet fish sauce - for marinade

  • 1 tablespoon of coffee (1 tablespoon of water with a pinch of coffee powder) - for marinade

  • 1 piece of aluminium foil, fold to a bowl shape

  • 1 teaspoon of oil

  • 3 clove of garlic (chopped)

  • 1 shallot (chopped)

  • 3 pieces of french beans (cut to 3cm length, diaganol)

  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch

  • 3 tablespoon of coffee + 1 tablespoon of honey



  1. Marinade chicken for at least 8hrs with the marinade ingredients.

  2. Bake chicken for 30 minutes (top open).

  3. Saute shallot till fragant, add in garlic.

  4. Once brown stir in french beans and fry for a min.

  5. Stir coffee with honey and cornstarch. Add them to the french beans.

  6. Served it on top of the chicken.

Steam Okra with Fried Vege Topping









  • 3 pieces of okra, cut to slice (bout 1cm thickness)




  • A pinch of salt




  • 1 egg




  • 1/2 cup of scallion




  • 2 pieces of crabstick, cut to 1cm thickness




  • 2 vegetarian meatball (cut to slices too)




  • 1 tablespoon of chopped bombay onions




  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce




  • 1 teaspoon of oil.




  • Pinch of pepper




  • 2 cups of water









  1. Steam the okra over boiling water for 5mins with the pinch of salt.




  2. Mix all other ingredients together except for onions and oil.




  3. Saute onion till fragrant.




  4. Add in the mixture and fry till egg is cooked.




  5. Served on top of the steam okra.

Grilled Cabbage with Spicy Sour Sauce







  • 1/2 cabbage, sliced side way (bout 50g)

  • 1 table spoon of cubed cheddar cheese

  • 1 tablespoon of butter (sliced to small pieces)

  • 1/2 bombay onion - chopped

  • 1 egg

  • aluminium foil to grill the cabbage

  • 1 kaffir leave (cut to small slices)

  • 2 teaspoon of thai chilli paste with smoked fish - for sauce

  • 2 teaspoon of sukiyaki sauce - for sauce

  • 1 teaspoon of plum sauce - for sauce

  • 2 teaspoon of evaporated milk - for sauce



  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients evenly and leave it aside.

  2. Place onion on the aluminium foil. Top with cabbage, butter and cheese.

  3. Grill for 30mins.

  4. Top the cabbage with creamy fried egg and the sauce.

Chicken Fish Maw Soup Noodle




  • 1 chopped chicken drumstick

  • 5 pieces of red dates

  • 2 pieces of fish maw (soaked for 10mins)

  • 5 slices of ginseng

  • 1 piece of dried scallop

  • 2 pieces of dried mussels

  • 1 teaspoon of Benedict DOM

  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce

  • 3 cups of water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 piece of dried noodle.



  1. Bring one cup of water to boil, and boil the dried noodle for 2mins. Drain and mix with Benedict DOM and soy sauce. Leave aside.

  2. Bring the balance of 2 cups of water to boil. Add in red dates, scallop and mussels.

  3. After 5mins, add in chicken drumstick, salt and pepper.

  4. Add in fish maw after 5mins and boil for 10mins.

  5. Serve the soup on the noodle.

Mayo Dip






  • 2 tablespoon of mayonnaise


  • 1 tablespoon of kaffir lime juice


  • 2 kaffir leaves (cut to small slices)


  • 1 teaspoon of fresh chilli (cut to small slice)





  1. Mix everything together and done!

Fried Taufu Paste






  • 2 pack of soft taufu (white) - cubed


  • 2 tablespoon of chopped scallion


  • 2 tablespoon of chopped mushroom (cubed)


  • 1/2 cup of chopped vegetarian meat ball (cubed)


  • 1 tablespoon of chopped bombay onion


  • 2 tablespoon of corn flour (sift)


  • 5 tablespoon of flour (sift)


  • 1 pinch of salt


  • 1 pinch of pepper


  • 1 egg


  • 1 cup of oil for frying





  1. Mixed the corn flour and flour with taufu till even. Add in scallion, meat balls, onion, and mushroom. Mix till even.


  2. Add in egg and mix again.


  3. Oil the pan with one tablespoon of oil.


  4. Take a spoon, scoop the mixture and place it on the pan. Press the mixture so it becomes a flat piece.


  5. Once one side is brown, turn the piece and fry till golden. Repeat till all the mixture is used up.


  6. Served with mayo dip (up next)
