Grill Chicken

  • 2 pieces of chicken drumstick
  • 2 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  1. Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients. If you have the time to spare, marinate it overnight.
  2. Grill the chicken in oven at 200 degree celcius for 45 mins, turn the chicken at 20mins time.

Black Pepper Chicken




  • 250g chicken fillet


  • 2 tablespoon of black pepper powder


  • One pinch of salt


  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoon of water


  • 2 pieces of cut shallot


  • 1 teaspoon of oil


  • Marinate for Chicken:


  • Salt


  • Pepper


  • Curry powder


  • Cornstarch





  1. Marinate chicken with the marinate ingredients. If possible, marinate over night.


  2. Heat up the oil, and saute the shallot.


  3. Add in the chicken fillet. Fry the chicken till it is cooked.


  4. Mix the pepper, salt, water and cornstarch.


  5. Add in the mixture to the chicken and let it thicken.


  6. Dish out and serve.

Sambal Prawn




  • 500g fresh prawn (remove the shell, leave the tail and deveined)


  • Sambal paste (refer to previous recipe)


  • 2 tablespoon of oil


  • 1 teaspoon of salt


  • 1 tablespoon of sugar


  • 2 tablespoon of tomato sauce


  • 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce


  • 1 cup of water


  • 3 tablespoon of thick coconut milk





  1. Clean the prawn.


  2. Heat up the oil and saute the sambal paste.


  3. Add in prawn and fry for one minute.


  4. Add in water and leave it at low fire for few minutes till prawn is cooked.


  5. Add in all other ingredients.

Sambal Paste






  • 1/2 piece of big red chilli

  • 2 tablespoon of dried chilli

  • 1 onion

  • 6 shallots

  • 1/2 clove of garlic

  • 3 pieces of clove (spices)

  • 1 stem of curry leaves

  • 1/2 piece of cinnamon stick (about 1/2cm width and 5cm length)

  • 2 pieces of cardamon (only the inside content)

  • 1 piece of star anise

  • 5 pieces of kafir lime leaves

  • 3 pieces of laksa leave (daun kesom)

  • 1 teaspoon of oil



  1. Blend all ingredients (except for the oil) till all ingredients get to small pieces. Add in the oil and blend for another 3minutes till the mixture is quite smooth.

Beggar Chicken




  • 1 whole chicken (washed)


  • 2 bunch of Chinese mushroom (cut to smaller pieces)


  • 1 small piece of cinnamon stick


  • 1 piece of star anise


  • 2 tablespoon of kie chi


  • 1 table spoon of tong kuai


  • 1 tablespoon of sugar


  • 2 teaspoon of salt


  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper


  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce


  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce





  1. Filled up all ingredients in the chicken, wrapped it with aluminium foil.


  2. Baked in oven for 65mins.

Reply - Vegetarian Rendang Mutton

I actually forgot to take the pic before we started eating. So it kinda look terrible, and I was so lazy to deco it too yesterday.

Vegetarian Rendang Mutton




  • 1 packed of vegetarian mutton


  • 1 packed of Maggi curry rendang mix


  • 2 cup of light santan (coconut milk)


  • 2 tbsp of oil


  • 1/2 big bombay onion chopped





  1. Fry onions till golden before adding in the mutton.


  2. Fry for about 2 minutes before adding in the santan mixed with curry rendang mix.


  3. Leave it to cook at low fire for 15 mins.

Banana Cupcake



This recipe can make 12 cupcakes only. If you count, four is missing coz its already in our tummy.... hehehe

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 salt

  • 1/4 baking soda

  • 125g butter (soften)

  • 2 tbsp of sugar

  • 1 egg (big) or 2 if small

  • 1 pc of big banana or 3 pieces of small one


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degree.

  2. Beat the egg, salt, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and butter to even.

  3. Add in flour and mix till all flour is dissolved.

  4. Put in half the mixture to all the cups.

  5. Mashed the banana and put in a teaspoon on all the cups.

  6. Top up with the other half of the mixture.

  7. Bake it and check after 10 mins

Chicken Soup




  • 1 whole chicken thigh and drumstick (whole piece)

  • 1 bunch of chinese mushroom (soaked and cut to bite size)

  • 1 piece of carrot (cut to bite size)

  • 1 bombay onion (halved)

  • 2 clove of garlic (smashed)

  • 2 slice of ginger

  • 500ml of water


  1. Mix everything together and boil. Boil at low fire for 35 mins.

Fried French Beans




  • 250g of french beans (cut diaganolly about 1 inch thickness each)


  • 100g of carrot (cut to small pieces)


  • 4 pieces of crab stick (cut to small pieces)


  • 2 table spoon of chopped garlic


  • Oil to saute and pepper and salt for taste


  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce





  1. Saute garlic till golden color. Add in all the other ingredients.


  2. Add in salt, pepper and oyster sauce.


  3. Dish and serve.

Pork Rib Soup

  • 500g of pork ribs
  • 1 pc of 10cm ginseng
  • 1 tablespoon of kei chi
  • 1 tablespoon of red dates
  • 1 pc of dried shellfish (cut to small pieces and soaked in water for 5 mins)
  • 1 tablespoon of dried scallops
  • 700ml water
  1. Add everything together and boil it before leaving it in the slow cooker and boil for about 4hrs.

Creamy Brocolli Chicken



  • 50g cut chicken fillet (marinate with soy sauce, pepper and oyster)

  • 3 pieces of chinese mushroom (sliced)

  • 50g brocolli

  • 2 tablespoon of mixed vege

  • 1 tablespoon of garlic

  • 5 tablespoon of milk

  • 1 teaspoon of thick corn starch solution (for thickening)


  1. Saute the garlic till golden brown.

  2. Add in chicken and stir fry till it is cooked. Add in mushroom.

  3. Finally add in brocolli and mixed vege.

  4. Fry till brocolli is cooked and add in milk. Add in the corn starch solution once the milk is boiled and turn off the fire.

  5. Dish out to serve.

Soy Burger



  • 500g of soya (soaked, blend, and juiced)

  • 2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper

  • 1 table spoon of corn starch

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • 1 egg

  • (add some mixed vege if u like)

  • Oil for frying


  1. Mixed everything together till it mix well.

  2. Shaped them to pieces (any shape you like).

  3. Heat up the oil on the pan and fry the soy till golden brown.

  4. Dish out and serve.
