Chapati with Curry Potato & Pork










Attempted chapati making today.... tasted quite good (and hubby says taste quite like the one from the shop... hehehe):



Chapati



Ingredients:


  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 + 1/2 tablespoon luke warm water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of flour
  1. Mix the first three ingredients till even and form a soft dough.
  2. Leave the dough to sit for at least 10mins.
  3. Add in the oil and knead the dough. Divide to four portions.
  4. Sprinkle some flour on the board. Flatten the dough on the board till very very thin.
  5. Heat the pan hot. Place the dough on the pan to cook. Cook each side about 40seconds (or till it turn brownish just like the one you had from the shop). Flip and cook the other side. Once done, dish out and cook the next piece.

Curry Potato & Pork

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 onion chopped to small pieces
  • 1 semi cooked potato, skin peeled, and cubed
  • 3 tablespoon of minced pork marinated with salt, pepper and curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon of mixed indian herbs
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of chilli paste
  • 2 tablespoon of water
  • 1 tablespoon of evaporated milk
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  1. Heat up oil and saute onion for a min.
  2. Add in the mixed indian herbs and saute till fragant.
  3. Add in the minced pork and fry for a min before adding in the potato.
  4. Add in water and simmer till all water almost get evaporated.
  5. Add in the evaporated milk, season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2 mins. Ready to be served.
